My Journey as a ... Writer

I am a CPCE student at Rowan University.  This means I am part of a cohort of students who will progress together through an educational program that will allow us to graduate with a dual major; Elementary Education and Writing Arts.

This program is by far the most difficult endeavor I’ve ever taken on.  Our cohort was told that the program is designed for the working students and parents…That was a lie.

The women in my cohort are phenomenal.  Their motivation and dedication are inspiring.  And we do inspire each other and encourage each other when we get overwhelmed.  The amount of work that we have been given over the course of the program so far has been incredible.  From February, 2010 to June, 2010 we completed 19 credits worth of work.  We are women of great resource but we are only human after all, and have worked incredibly hard to get where we are.

I am a worker, wife, mother and student as are the many of my classmates.  We have seen marriages occur, babies be born and many obstacles overcome.  We are a determined group of women whom I am very proud to be a part of.
